Welcome to the Blue Goddess Web Ring
Here you will find the "code" as well as the files required to install your ring applet. I have also included two alternate choice, either one is acceptable. First, please review the ring rules, than return to this page to get your applet code and image. This is the prefered applet. It uses a "lake" type file. To use this applet, you will have to have the image below, as well as the file MyLake.class which I am also providing. The alternative applet uses a still image. If you copied the applet code from RingSurf, you will have to edit the ***RING ID*** to blue_goddess as it appears below. You also want to insert your Ring ID NUMBER where it says ***SITE ID*** and your e-mail address(BE SURE YOU LEAVE THE mailto: part in!) than insert your name where it says***SITE OWNER***. Please rember to remove all the astericks**( If you want to leave a couple of astericks or special symbols around your name, that's O.K.) Highlight the code, than "right click" and "copy" to place the code on your "clip board", minimize your browser, and open Note Pad. Paste the code into Note Pad and save it as a text file.
If you like this applet, select and copy the following code.
Now "right click" on this image and use the "save TARGET as" function to save it to your hard drive. DONOT link to this image!
Next, "right click" on the link below and use the "save target as" function to download the MyLake.class file. Please note, if you have anothe "lake.class" file you can use it, just change the coding. Once you download this file, you can use it to run other "lake" pictures on your site!
Now click here to see the instructions for installing this applet.
The second applet isn't quite as impressive because it uses a still picture, but it is still perfectly acceptable.
Whichever applet you choose, If you have any problems, e-mail me, and I'll help you install it. If you are using MS Front Page, or a Trellix publisher you will have to add the "path" for the image file like this background="^GEMDIR/bg1.jpg. If you place the MyLake.class file in a remote location, change CODE= to CODEBASE=. If you are hosted by Tripod, you can usr the File Manager to upload the image and MyLake.class file into the main directory with all you pages. You will not have to use a temporary directory. Be sure that you DONOT check the "lower case" box. The MyLake.class file MUST retain it's capitalization or it won't run!
If you have ANY problems e-mail me! I will be more than glad to help you. Once you have your applet installed, you must e-mail me so that I can activate your membership. Otherwise your applet won't work! This is the worst! after this, just have fun and enjoy the Ring! Thank you again for joining, Blessed be well, Ringmaster Athenroy
The main thing is to enjoy ourselves with others of like mind!
